A Minecraft villager knows what a player is. It knows what a zombie is. It knows what lava is. It knows about time, emeralds, information exchange. It cares about all of these things, as much as a computer program is capable of caring, anyway. A language model cannot care, because it cannot know. Language models do not go deeper than the Unicode we use to represent information. They cannot know the information itself. Testificates are AI. ChatGPT is not. -🦜
